Manhunt 2 Port-a-thon

February 6th, 2007 . by jb

Manhunt ActionManhunt 2, developed by Rockstar, is on it's way to the PS2, PSP and Wii.  This is just further making the Wii a dumping ground for last-gen game ports, which is good and bad.  While it is great that the Wii is getting more mature titles, it's bad that the Wii is likely not getting a fair shake in terms of proper controls.

If the game being developed didn't have the Wii in mind the whole time, the controls are just an after thought instead of a building block.

I'll consider this one as good news, as I'm all for more M rated games coming to Wii, and all for Rockstar finally coming over.

I can see Miyamoto announcing GTA4 for the Wii now…

Virtua Tennis 3 Online

February 6th, 2007 . by Josh

For those with the Xbox 360 and not the Playstation 3, you'll be pleased to hear the upcoming version of Virtua Tennis 3 will have online play! For those who have a Playstation 3 and not the Xbox 360, you'll be upset to hear, there won't be online play!

And for those with the Wii and not the other two consoles, yeah you obviously know you aren't getting online play.

But nonetheless there will be a variety of online modes such as, doubles, singles and VT: TV where you can watch two of your other friends play (EA take note for Madden). As well all the Xbox 360 users should take note, that the game on the Microsoft made console, will feature 1080p.

Killzone2 (PS3) Demo BEFORE Halo 3 Beta?!

February 6th, 2007 . by jb

You read that right folks. This, is the talk of one Luke Smith over at 1up.

Expect a playable Killzone 2 demo to be released (hmm, Phil Harrison is keynoting at GDC…) before gamers are participating in the beta for Halo 3.

Wowzers! I don’t think anybody saw this kind of rumor showing up, considering Mr. Harrison was making claims that the game was going to look better then was originally shown at E3 2005.

Here’s what they showed us at E3 a couple years ago, and you decide.

I call…BULLOCKS!

Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts Coming!

This is great news for consumers, but of course if you have more than one current-gen system. Which do you buy this game for?

Rumor: WipeOut For Playstation 3

February 2nd, 2007 . by Josh

Although no official word has come out from Sony, there is yet another rumor surrounding their Liverpool development team that they are indeed working on WipeOut for Sony's new console.

WipeOut is a game that could easily make online play on the Playstation 3 popular. To have people playing Resistance and the high speed WipeOut would be great for Sony, lets just hope this rumor is true and they are indeed in development.
