Well, what a surprise. Upon loading up Crackdown for the first time I was greeted by a message that there was new downloadable content.
So my curiosity took over and I decided to see what I was going to be billed for next. Well fear not folks, if you wanted four new agents for your new Crackdown game, then it's free.
Yes, actual free content on Xbox Live, grab it while you can!

Now you ask, why would I want to watch the intro to several Mega Man games? I'll tell you why, because it's fucking Mega Man! Any other character I probably wouldn't care, but we all love Mega Man, and those who don't just say they don't to make me mad!
Anywho, the first intros sound is somewhat screwed up, but you get the idea from there. Plus the Mega Man series has some fantastic video game music in it, so enjoy.
In case you're wondering, yes there are more intros compilation videos, I just didn't want to post them all.

Thanks to Major Nelson for keeping all Xbox 360 owners up to date. For those looking to play online tomorrow, unfortunately you won't be able to for awhile. Figures with Crackdown coming out too right?
Well nonetheless tomorrow, Xbox Live and certain parts of the website will be down as well for maintenance at 0200-0500 PT (5am EST).
Still, it's not such a big deal when most of you, myself included, will probably be asleep. So let them do their thing, while we regain gaming energy.

Dear [insert higher power here], don't let this happen! 2k Sports at least for me has become my refuge from crappy sports titles that EA releases. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, though 2k doesn't put out a football title at this time, their hockey games still destroy EA's attempt at one.
With all the lawsuits and stock issues surrounding father company Take-Two is this the perfect time for EA to step in and purchase their sports division? Apparently so. Though no real details of a possible purchase have come out, the most we've seen is analyst giving information, which can generally be taken with a grain of salt.
But still, EA stay away from my hockey series! Keep releasing $60 roster updates under the Madden football name.

See, Capcom loves everyone! And we love Capcom, especially those with Lost Planet.
On March 9th Capcom plans to release a patch for Lost Planet, on top of that they also have a map pack available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Are they free you ask? No, no they aren't. But if you really want to know, the first map pack will be 400 Microsoft points, ouch.
There will also be several more map packs to come in the future. Why? Because Capcom loves us.

Those in the UK waiting to get their Playstation 3's will be pleased to know that Sega has revealed the street date for the release of Armored Core 4.
You probably want me to tell you the date right? Well, I'm not going to! Not yet anyways. But at least this game will be out soon after the consoles release, adding more fuel to why people should consider buying it.
Publisher 505 Games is pleased to today announce the April 27th release of Armored Core 4 on PlayStation 3. Armored Core 4
is the latest title in the historic mech-battling action and simulation
saga, and is the first ‘next-generation’ incarnation of the
internationally beloved franchise. This dazzling brand new chapter
offers the ultimate in fast-paced, high octane mech simulation.
Armored Core 4
exploits the awesome power of PlayStation 3 to deliver astounding
visuals and eye-watering special effects, including dynamic lighting
and shadows, swirling water and mysterious fog. Mech designs benefit
from massively more detailed 3D models and the arenas and environments
now offer a giant leap in interactivity and detail. Players can use
these interactive features to their advantage, for instance by smashing
open arena walls to let in the light and search for enemies, or by
hiding in water to ambush rivals.
If you're like me then you're looking forward to this game. I just hope Sega didn't drop the ball with it like they did with the next-gen current-gen Sonic games. Though still no release date for the UK release on the Xbox 360, at least you're getting it for one console.

What does Nintendo have in store for us today? Well some more classics on the Wii's Virtual Console!
- The Legend of Kage
- New Adventure Island
- Donkey Kong
- Streets of Rage
Not a bad list, but no games that I would really personally want. Still it's nice to see Nintendo sticking to releasing a decent title each week.

Yeah, none of this is really surprising. Of course Gears of War and Halo 2 top the charts. And Paperboy? Well it seems whenever a new game comes out everyone hops all over it.
Xbox 360:
- Gears of War
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
- Call Of Duty 3
- DEF JAM: ICON (Demo)
- Crackdown (Demo)
Live Arcade:
- Paperboy
- Root Beer Tapper
- UNO
- Heavy Weapon
- Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Original Xbox:
- Halo 2
- Battlefield 2: MC
- Madden NFL 07
- Star Wars: Battlefront 2
- Counter-Strike
But next week Crackdown comes out, I wonder how it'll rank. Or maybe it'll even take Gears of War out of the number one spot.

There has been a lot of zombie love in the air. Capcom made Dead Rising, plenty of PC based zombie mods coming out and now Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders creator Hideo Kojima wants to make a zombie game. In a interview with Edge Magazine the man had to say this:
The zombie idea I have is a bit different…Imagine a large town where
half the inhabitants are zombies. Users would subscribe, get inside the
town and get bitten. At that stage they become undead and can't control
their character – all they can do is modify the camera angles… They'd
see their character attacking humans and have to pay just to watch!
The only way they could end it is by opening another account,
hunting themselves down and killing themselves. Of course, the problem
is that your second character can get bitten as well
Although I'm not quite sold on the part where you can't control your zombie character, I think that would be pretty cool. Imagine getting the chance to blend in with the pack of undead, then sneak around and bite a player in the face.
