In what is still considered news apparently, is reporting that 50% of game retailers have PS3 consoles in stock, with the Wii having none available.  The article then goes on to quote a Sony representative as saying:

"It isn't because demand has weakened, it is because we have kept the supply pipeline moving"

So, the PS3 isn't selling like hotcakes.  The Nintendo Wii is selling like hotcakes (and selling more).  Yet, PS3 consoles being in stock is not an indication of waning interest?!  You can argue price points all you want, but if there are units in stores at this early stage of the launch, then no, it isn't going well.

I don't hate the PS3 (want one myself), I just hate shoddy news stories and Sony's shoddy PR.   Gamers want games, not excuses.
